Why Alkaline food ?
Alkalinity is a whole new way of life eating the foods that assimilate with our body on a biochemical level. With the teachings of the late great Dr. Sebi the world was once again introduced to the natural ancient and wild foods that suit our body best. Alkaline foods give us the ability to heal our bodies on a cellular level solely from our consumption and is absolutely incredible research! From birth our bodies and especially our blood is naturally in a state of alkalinity at 7.4 PH; at this level the human body operates at it optimum level. Alkaline foods are naturally aligned with our cells with a high bioavailability and assimilate into our systems seamlessly. The opposite goes foods that are acidic with a PH level lower than 7 although some acidic food can be beneficial at times and even more interestingly some acidic foods have an alkalizing effect inside the body once consumed like key limes and apples for example. When Acidic food is ingested by an alkaline body you put your cells at risk to damage because acid is hot and can melt or destroy our protective mucosa membrane that shields all of our cells and organs. To counteract this, the the body produces excess mucus to try and protect the cells and stop acids from damaging the system. This is how "leaky gut" can manifest from these highly acidic foods being consumed and burning through our protective mucosa. The problem with this overproduction of mucus which is a defense mechanism, comes with its own problems like increasing inflammation in the system. in simple terms Acidity causes excess mucus production, in turn fueling inflammation which is the underlying cause of most illnesses and dis-ease.
What is Alkaline nutrition?
The goal in Alkaline nutrition foods is to raise the PH levels in your body, and reduce the acidity so that you can boost your overall health and lower inflammation responses in the body, so that you no longer have to suffer from joint pain, high blood pressure, heart disease, damaged nerves, neurological disorders, potential cancers, poor gut health, malnutrition, poor mineral absorption the list is endless. it all comes down to eating the right kinds of foods that assimilate with our biology and eliminating more acidic foods that basically burn or melt our insides and mucosa membranes that protect our cells. The Alkaline nutrition consists of a variety of different fruits, vegetable, grains, nuts, seeds, and herbs that are naturally occuring in nature.
First steps to healing the body- The cleanse
When you are ready to heal the body you must be ready to cleanse the body! We like to start everyone off with our Gut health detox. Depending on what kind of cleanse your seeking for, we offer a 3 day cleanse, 14 day cleanse and 1 month cleanse. We advise that you cleanse periodically throughout the year to maintain a clean and healthy digestive system (at least once every 3 months). During this process you want to fill your daily diet up with alkaline healing herbs and sea moss or sea veggies, and plenty of nutrient dense raw fruits & veggies, so that your body is constantly getting the minerals it needs to replenish what will be flushed from the system during the cleansing period. Sticking to an alkaline raw diet is preferred and will give you the best results, further promoting the body to cleanse and heal itself, juices and smoothies are recommended to even further enhance this process and give the digestive system a break to focus more on healing (steamed veggies and vegetables soups are also okay). Try to stay away from or limit your acidic and processed food consumptions that will counteract the healing processes. While taking this cleanse you want to make sure your schedule is open for a few days or have a restroom available as bowel movements are likely to be frequent depending on toxicity in the body. You want to make sure you are drinking a lot of water during this process, at least 55 oz of water or fruit juice as day to stay hydrated. No one should take the cleanse more than a month, after a month your body starts to rely on the herbs which will cause further stress when you stop taking them. We advise you not take our gut cleanse if pregnant or nursing
Organic Vs Conventional Crops
Organic plants are often foods found in nature and are grown without pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, hormones, or any other synthetic additives. These chemicals are all used to grow conventional grown crops as most of them need these things to survive because a lot of them are hybridized or cross bred/selective bred plants and it increases yield and protects the plants from nature. Most organic and wildcrafted plants are designed by nature and come with their own protective mechanisms and have the ability to survive without chemicals while most hybrids and GMOs struggle to do so
What is the difference between GMO and Non GMO/Hybrid and Non Hybrid
Humans have cross-bread plants for centuries, developing GMO or genetically modified organism. GMO's have been genetically engineered in some way or another and this could happen in a lab but there are also natural modifications that take place in nature. The difference between the two is a natural GMO or in this case "hybrid" can survive in nature while lab made or genetically modified crops usually have to have pesticides and other chemicals sprayed on them as they are not capable of surviving on their own and nature will destroy them. On the other hand organic is free from all chemicals, synthetic fertilizers, synthetic pesticides, and growth hormones. Organic foods are more expensive but it's also the healthiest option! Growing your own food is your best bet as far as safety goes
